Was gonna use it but then I saw the data they collect is 1. Your Personal info 2. Your Location, and 3. Your Device information. Otherwise this app would be pretty sweet. Probably still sell the data to shady 3rd party companies anyways...including all the filenames & filetypes you've transferred amongst devices. Nice!! 🤠

Therefore, Airclap will not collect user information, let alone sell user information to data companies.

- Regarding the permission to access device information, it is used to obtain the device name, device brand, and other information. This way, other devices can easily identify whether this is the target device for file transfer.

- Regarding the collection of personal information, when you purchase Pro, if other devices need to use the Pro permissions, you will need to log in with your Google account or Apple account to bind the Pro status to the account. This way, other devices that log in with this account will have the Pro status.

- Obtaining location information is just to get the Wi-Fi name.
It’s easier for users to understand connecting to the same Wi-Fi network.
However, understanding being on the same network might not be easy.
(Of course, not agreeing to the location information permission will not affect usage at all.)
